Stanford is coming off a win over No. 6 Texas, sweeping all three sets in that one. That was the team’s fourth win this season over a ranked opponent. The team has only gone to a fifth game once all year, in its 3-2 win over then No. 18 Minnesota.
Nebraska suffered a shocking loss on Sept. 3 when the team was swept by SMU, a team that is not currently ranked, but did receive the most votes of any unranked school in the last poll. Since then, the Huskers have been on fire, winning five in a row and sweeping four of those five matches. The only close one was a five-set victory against No. 9 Creighton.
