Tips on how to avoid road-rage incidents

Road rage is extremely common and commuters could encounter it on any given day. Here are some tips to avoid being in this situation.

Three people were killed and two others were critically injured in a crash on westbound Interstate 10 near the Arizona-New Mexico border on Saturday evening, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

The collision resulted in the closure of the westbound lanes of I-10, requiring drivers from New Mexico to detour north via U.S. 70 and U.S. 191 to access I-10 beyond the crash site, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

ADOT recommended drivers stay tuned to online platform AZ511.gov for real-time traffic info.

About 5 p.m., a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle collided in San Simon, causing the tractor-trailer to catch fire.

The condition of the tractor-trailer driver was currently unknown, according to DPS.

The three confirmed victims were in the passenger vehicle, along with the two who remained in critical condition, DPS added.

The westbound lanes of the I-10 would remain closed until further notice, authorities said.
