The Houston Texans (2-0) hit the road up north to take on the Minnesota Vikings (2-0) in Week 3, where Houston looked to keep its undefeated season alive.
The Texans are coming off a 19-13 win against the Chicago Bears, where the defense stepped up to deliver against No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams. Will Anderson and Danielle Hunter combined for three sacks, while four other Texans each recorded one. Kamari Lassiter and Derek Stingley Jr. made a case for the league’s top young corner duo with a pair of interceptions.
C.J. Stroud’s chemistry with Nico Collins only continues to grow as the duo connected eight times for a Week 2-leading 135 yards and a touchdown. Collins, who inked a three-year extension this offseason, currently leads the NFL in receiving yards with 252.

Meanwhile, Minnesota is coming off a 23-17 win over reigning NFC champion San Francisco at home. Sam Darnold threw for 268 yards and two touchdowns against an interception while completing 65.4 percent of his passes.
The Vikings defense, headlined by former Texans players Blake Cashman and Jonathan Greenard, recorded six sacks on Brock Purdy and forced two turnovers to seal a victory in the home opener.
The Texans have opened as a 2.5-point road favorite against the Vikings in Week 3, according to BetMGM. The over/under enters the week at 45.5.
Oddsmakers are certainly leaning in Houston’s favor, considering the home team is afforded three points. While the Texans’ offense has been hit-or-miss depending on the drive through two games, their defense has been among the league’s best.

The front seven alone secured a win on Sunday night, while the secondary killed any momentum on offense when Williams began to feel comfortable.
Houston were favorites in their Week 1 game against the Indianapolis Colts and Bears. Now, the Texans remain the top team entering Week 3.
