Check out Lucky Palace’s new home at the Louisiana Downs
The Louisiana Downs has welcomed the iconic Lucky Palace to its lineup of restaurants.
The Louisiana Downs Casino & Racetrack ushered in a new restaurant to its lineup.
On Saturday, Sept. 14, the Louisiana Downs held a ribbon cutting for the iconic Lucky Palace and its new location at the casino and racetrack.
Louisiana Downs President, Kevin Preston said, “we are just excited to have it here and think it’s a great compliment for us.”
Lucky Palace an award-winning restaurant– named Top 100 Chinese Restaurants in the country. It carries a long history in the Shreveport-Bossier area serving gourmet Chinese food and an extensive wine list since the 90s.
Lucky Palace was formerly located at 750 Diamond Jacks Blvd. This new location will only elevate the historic Louisiana Downs.
Louisiana Downs opened its doors Oct. 30, 1974, with approximately 15,000 fans in attendance for the first day of its inaugural meet. Located on 280 acres in Bossier City, Louisiana Downs has ushered in thousands of attendees for more than 49 years.
On Nov. 1, 2021, Rubico Acquisition Corporation took ownership of the once Harrah’s Louisiana Downs. Since Rubico’s ownership new shops and updates have been made across the casino and racetrack.
Bossier City Mayor, Tommy Chandler said, “this is going to be great for Lucky Palace and for the Louisiana Downs.”
Lucky Palace is set to open its doors on Friday, Sept. 20.
