ESPN’s “College GameDay” is coming to Norman.

The Oklahoma football team (3-0) will host the nationally-televised pregame show during its Week 4 home game against Tennessee (2-0) at 6:30 p.m. Saturday. The last time OU hosted “College GameDay” in Norman was during its rivalry win over OSU on Nov. 21, 2020.

It’s not hard to see why the Sooners were selected. Saturday’s game marks the SEC opener for OU, which moved from the Big 12 on July 1.

Tennessee is also led by head coach Josh Heupel, who helped OU win a national championship as a quarterback in 2000. He then served as a graduate assistant (2004), quarterbacks coach (2006-10) and co-offensive coordinator (2011-14) for the Sooners.

“College GameDay” coverage will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday on ESPN.
