Rams WR Puka Nacua could miss 5-7 weeks with PCL injury

Puka Nacua was placed on injured reserve last week after aggravating the knee injury that sidelined him for three weeks during training camp. He’s now required to miss at least four games, but he could be out even longer.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Nacua could miss 5-7 weeks with his sprained PCL, depending on how quickly it heals. The good news for the Rams is they have a bye in Week 6, so if Nacua does need a full seven-week recovery, he’ll only miss six games. That’s not ideal, obviously, but it could be worse.

The Rams’ next six games are as follows: at Cardinals, vs. 49ers, at Bears, vs. Packers, vs. Raiders, vs. Vikings.

Schefter’s report goes in line with what Sean McVay said last week, noting that Joe Noteboom, Steve Avila and Nacua could all miss more than the minimum four weeks on IR.

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua could miss between 5-7 weeks, depending on how quickly his PCL injury heals, per sources.

Nacua was the Rams’ leading receiver last season and was off to a good start in Week 1 with four catches for 35 yards in less than a half of action. In his place, the Rams will lean more on Cooper Kupp and Demarcus Robinson, as well as Tyler Johnson, Jordan Whittington and Tutu Atwell.
