Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore may have a tough decision to make as the Wolverines prepare for their upcoming showdown with USC this upcoming Saturday at The Big House. At the center of this decision is the question of who will start at quarterback moving forward.
In Saturday’s 28-18 win over Arkansas State, Davis Warren, making his third career start, struggled for much of the game. He completed 11 of 14 passes for 122 yards, but three of his incompletions were costly interceptions.
One of those interceptions came after an Arkansas State defender hit Warren’s arm mid-throw, a point Moore mentioned during a halftime interview. However, the other two interceptions are up for debate.
Warren was benched in the third quarter, with Michigan leading 21-3, and replaced by junior Alex Orji. Orji made an immediate impact, throwing a touchdown on his first pass, extending Michigan’s lead to 28-3 early in the fourth quarter.
We’d love to hear your thoughts: Who do you think should be Michigan’s starting quarterback?
Please give us your name and hometown, and a few sentences on each question. Some of your responses may be used in a follow-up story.
