One of the top wideouts in college football will be on show when Gunnar Helm and the Texas Longhorns (2-0) take on the UTSA Roadrunners (1-1) on Saturday, September 14, 2024.
In their last outing, the Longhorns took down the Michigan Wolverines 31-12. Last time out, the Roadrunners lost 49-10 to the Texas State Bobcats. Quinn Ewers threw for 246 yards, with three touchdowns and no interceptions on 24-of-36 passing (66.7%) for the Horns in that matchup against the Wolverines. Ryan Wingo took one carry for 55 yards (55.0 yards per carry). Helm had seven receptions for 98 yards (14.0 per catch) and one touchdown against the Wolverines. Eddie Lee Marburger’s performance for the Roadrunners against the Bobcats included 14-of-27 passing for 147 yards, one touchdown and one interception. He rushed five times for 23 yards. Robert Henry carried the ball nine times for 26 yards. He caught two passes for zero yards. Willie McCoy collected three catches for 59 yards (on eight targets), with one touchdown.
