(KNSI) — The first signs of fall have started to appear, according to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources fall color finder map.
While the leaves have yet to turn in central Minnesota, the map shows northeastern Minnesota around Aitkin, Itasca and St. Louis Counties are at 10% to 25% of peak. Colors are also changing in northwestern Minnesota in Kittson, Roseau and Marshall counties.
In southeast Minnesota, some yellows are starting to pop around the Rochester area. In the southwest, Brown, Lyon, Murray, Nicollet, Redwood, Renville and Sibley counties are also seeing some change.
