South Dakotans in the NFL, Week 1 – Sioux Falls Live

NFL: Arizona Cardinals at Denver Broncos

SIOUX FALLS — Thirty years from now it’ll make a great trivia question. Who were the two South Dakota State football alumni to play against each other in Brazil in 2024?

The answer, of course, is Tucker Kraft and Dallas Goedert, the former Jackrabbit tight ends who squared off in South America last week when the Eagles played the Packers.

It was the first time the two South Dakota natives took the field together in the NFL but certainly not the last, and the Eagles came away with the win.

Here’s how the rest of the NFL’s South Dakotans performed in Week 1.

Jack Cochrane, LB, Kansas City, USD
Played 21 special teams snaps in the Chiefs’ season-opening win over Baltimore.

Isaiah Davis, RB, New York Jets, SDSU
Played 16 snaps on special teams in the Jets’ loss to the 49ers but did not record any statistics.

Dennis Gardeck, LB, Arizona, USF
Played 40 snaps on defense and eight on special teams in the Cardinals’ loss to Buffalo but did not record any statistics.
