In accordance with the United States flag code and the President’s proclamation, Gov. Josh Shapiro has ordered United States and Commonwealth flags on all Commonwealth facilities, public buildings, and grounds across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to fly at half-staff on Wednesday, Sept. 11.
This will be done in observance of Patriot Day and National Day of Service and Remembrance in honor of the individuals who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.
Congress has designated Sept. 11 of each year as Patriot Day and has requested the observance of Sept. 11 as an annually recognized National Day of Service and Remembrance.
