Cincinnati Reds catcher Tyler Stephenson Joey Votto retirement video

Cincinnati Reds catcher Tyler Stephenson offered his thoughts on Joey Votto’s retirement from baseball.

In a video tweeted by Topps, the Cincinnati Reds’ Elly De La Cruz was asked how much money his most expensive card sold for.

De La Cruz said he didn’t know, but he ventured a guess of $500,000. And he was correct!

The card is De La Cruz’s first Bowman superfractor auto.

De La Cruz was then asked if he would’ve paid that much for the card.

He laughed and said no, but did add that he really appreciated the buyer paying that much for it.

Topps included an “Artsy Elly” De La Cruz card as part of its Garbage Pail Kids MLB release in the 2024 Bowman Chrome Baseball product that released Wednesday.
