While the top 10 teams in the Tennessee high school football Super 25 remain intact this week, as school from West Tennessee makes its debut heading into Week 4 for the TSSAA season.
Collierville made a significant jump from not being ranked the first three weeks of the Super 25 rankings to No. 17 entering Friday’s game against Frederick Douglass.
Five games this week will feature two teams from the Super 25 list. The most intriguing will be Christ Presbyterian Academy at Montgomery Bell Academy, as 13-year CPA coach Ingle Martin faces the school that he led to three straight state championships (1998-2000).
A group of high school sports writers from the USA TODAY Sports Network vote during the season on the top 25 programs in Tennessee. First-place votes are in parentheses. Each first-place vote receives 25 points; each second-place vote receives 24 points, on down to No. 25, which receives one point.
