Vice President Kamala Harris is set to face off in her first presidential debate against former president Donald Trump this week as we rapidly approach the 2024 general election in November.

The presidential debate between Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris will be on Tuesday, September 10 at 9 p.m. EDT. The debate will be 90 minutes and will be hosted by ABC News.
It will take place at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia.

You can watch the debate live on ABC and stream it via ABC News Live, Disney+, NewsNation and Hulu. Local CBS, Fox and NBC networks will also broadcast the debate.
Who will moderate September’s presidential debate with Harris and Trump?

David Muir and Linsey Davis will be moderating the debate, according to ABC.
Muir is the anchor and managing editor of “ABC World News Tonight with David Muir,” which is “the most-watched newscast in the U.S.,” according to ABC. Muir also co-anchors ABC’s “20/20.”
Davis is also an ABC anchor, on “ABC News Live Prime” and “World News Tonight” on Sunday evenings. She’s also a correspondent for other ABC broadcasts, like “World News Tonight,” “Good Morning America,” “20/20” and “Nightline.”
Are there any rules to ABC’s presidential debate?
The rules are essentially the same as they were during the June debate between Trump and President Joe Biden.
According to ABC News, the candidates will stand behind lecterns, will not make opening statements and will not be allowed to bring notes. The network also shared that there will be no audience, as well as written notes or any topics or questions shared with campaigns or candidates in advance.
“Moderators will seek to enforce timing agreements and ensure a civilized discussion,” the network noted.
When is the vice presidential debate between JD Vance and Tim Walz?

The vice presidential debate will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 1, with GOP nominee JD Vance and Democratic nominee Tim Walz. It will be hosted by CBS News.
When is the General Election in November?
The General Election is on Tuesday, Nov. 5.
Dates to remember ahead of the 2024 Florida General Election
Sept. 21: This is the deadline for stateside and overseas military, and out-of-country civilians, to request a vote-by-mail ballot.
Sept. 26 – Oct. 3: Deadline for county clerks to mail out domestic ballots.
Oct. 7: This is the last day to register to vote.
Oct. 24: Final deadline for vote-by-mail requests.
Oct. 26 – Nov. 2: Early voting opens statewide. Optional earlier dates may be offered on a county-by-county basis.
Nov. 5: Election Day. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. in whatever time zone you live in. Any voters still in line at 7 p.m. will be permitted to cast a ballot however long it takes.
