Miami moved up two spots to 10th in the Associated Press Top 25 and three in the USA Today Coaches Poll after their 56-9 win over Florida A&M on Saturday. The Hurricanes moved into the Top 10 for the first time since week 14 on December 9 during the 2020 Covid season.
Miami received 1073 points in the AP Top 25. Oregon who is ninth in the AP Top 25 received 1077 points. The Ducks dropped two spots in the AP Top 25 after a 34-31 win over Boise State. Miami is one of four ACC teams in the AP Top 25. Louisville is 19th in the AP Top 25 and Clemson is 22nd and Boston College is 24th.
Miami received 798 points in the USA Today Coaches Poll. USC with 803 points is 11th in the USA Today Coaches poll is slightly ahead of Miami. Clemson is 20th and Louisville 21st in the USA Today Coaches poll. Louisville is the only Top 25 team in the week three poll Miami will play during the 2024 regular season.
Syracuse who is 29th and North Carolina 39th in the AP poll among others receiving votes were the only other ACC teams mentioned this week. Boston College is 27th, Syracuse 28th, North Carolina State 38th, North Carolina 41st, California 42nd and Pittsburgh 44th among other mentioned ACC teams in the USA Today Coaches Poll.

In addition to the game at Louisville, Miami plays at California on October 5 and finishes the regular season at Syracuse on November 30.
