College football is beloved for its chaoticness. Any team could go on the road and threaten to pull off an upset. That was epitomized in Oklahoma State’s crazy 39-31 2OT win over Arkansas. The comeback win was filled with drama and had to be settled beyond regulation.

After Arkansas entered halftime with a 21-7 lead, Oklahoma State slowly chipped away. 18 points in the fourth quarter completed the comeback and forced OT. Ollie Gordon II’s 12-yard rushing touchdown was the Cowboys’ game-winner. It survived the scare.

One person within the state who rooted for the Arkansas upset was Jaylin Williams. The 22-year-old spent three college seasons at Arkansas before he was drafted by the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2022. He’s continued to be prideful of his roots.

The Thunder’s backup center took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to live tweet the close contest. As Arkansas failed to come away with the massive upset win, Williams declared the loss was a result of self-inflicted wounds by the Razorbacks.

Oklahoma State fans who are also Thunder fans likely had to stomach through Williams’ Arkansas fandom throughout the game. It likely invoked mixed feelings as he’s developed into a fan favorite. Alas, OSU fans got the last laugh and could return to cheering for the 22-year-old as he prepares for the 2024-25 season.
