Roofing contractor fatally injured in 30-foot fall at Pa. high school

MILL HALL — A roofing contractor was killed Friday at a high school in Clinton County when the ladder on which he was standing shifted, causing him to fall about 30 feet to the concrete below.

Kyle Keller, 27, of Lewistown, was climbing a ladder at the Central Mountain High School near Mill Hall about 11:50 a.m. carrying a 5-gallon bucket of sealant, state police said.

Although a co-worker was holding the ladder at the base, the top shifted as Keller attempted to put the bucket on the roof, they said. The ladder slid along the top of building causing him to fall, they said.

Life-saving measures were attempted by school staff until emergency personnel arrived, police said. Keller was transported to UPMC Lock Haven where he died.
