The City of New Orleans will celebrate the week leading up to three nights of concerts as Taylor Swift brings her Eras Tour to the Caesars Superdome Oct. 25 through Oct. 27.
New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell announced how Louisiana’s Crescent City will welcome the superstar and her fans, known as Swifties, from around the world with “Taylor Swift Week.”
Monday, Oct. 21
High school students will be able to create “We Love Taylor” videos, which will be shared on the city’s YouTube channel.
Tuesday, Oct. 22
The city will host a donation drive in support of the local Second Harvest Food Bank, continuing a tour tradition of supporting food banks at every stop.
Wednesday, Oct. 23
A voting awareness drive will be held ahead of the November election.
Thursday, Oct. 24
The mayor will present a key to the city to Swift via social media and encourage other regional leaders to honor her.
Friday, Oct. 25
The day of the first concert will be “Super Swift Fashion Day,” which will encourage dressing like the famous singer-songwriter.
Additionally, several fan-organized events have been planned throughout the area.
The Eras Tour began March 17, 2023 in Glendale Arizona and is scheduled to end Dec. 8 of this year in Vancouver.
Spanning five continents, it is the highest-grossing tour in history and the first to surpass $1 billion in revenue.
The tour includes music from every era of the artist’s career from her self-titled debut album released in 2006 to her latest double album, The Tortured Poets Department, which came out April 19.
Following a break, the tour has been scheduled to conclude with five stops, including Miami, New Orleans, Indianapolis, Toronto and Vancouver.
