Two casinos in Connecticut just won big in USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards.
The annual awards highlight the best in travel, food and lifestyle, and winners are chosen by a public voting poll after being nominated by industry experts.
In the 2024 best casino awards, ranking casinos across the United States in a variety of categories, Mohegan Sun in Uncasville won three awards and Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket won two.
Mohegan Sun won the Best Casino Hotel category, taking home the No. 1 spot for the seventh year in a row. In the category for Best Casino Outside Las Vegas, Foxwoods ranked No. 2 and Mohegan Sun No. 5. And in the Best Players Clubs category, Mohegan Sun ranked No. 2, while Foxwoods came in at No. 8.

Winning the No. 5 spot for Best Casino Outside Las Vegas, Mohegan Sun’s casino has two parts – Casino of the Earth and Casino of the Sky – which together have a state-of-the-art sportsbook, over 300 table games, over 30 poker tables and almost 4,000 slot machines.
Beyond gaming, guests of Mohegan Sun can enjoy special events and live shows at over 10 unique venues, dine at 40 restaurants and shop at over 30 stores. What to know about Foxwoods
The casino at Foxwoods, which ranked second for Best Casino Outside Las Vegas, has almost 3,000 slot machines, high-stakes bingo, various table games, Keno, a sportsbook and the largest poker room on the East Coast across its five casinos.
With a dozen nightlife locations and shows ranging from stand-up comedy to live music, Foxwoods packs in lots of top-notch entertainment. Activities like an arcade, bowling alley and zipline course keep the whole family entertained, plus 40 dining locations to choose from.
Foxwoods’ hotel has three towers, two on-site spas and three pools.
