HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) – The Colorado Buffaloes are set to visit Lincoln this weekend, and Local4 caught up with Husker fans to gauge whether the Nebraska Cornhuskers’ confidence from their win over UTEP will carry over.
“I think we got a good shot, we looked pretty good coming out of the first game. I don’t think we showed too much to give to Colorado to scout off of so I think we got a good shot,” said Michael McGowan.
“Colorado’s obviously somewhat of a rival, we struggled against them as of recent but two new coaches in house both with Colorado and us,” said Phoenix Stevenson. “Rhule and Deion’s first time facing off, so it’ll be interesting.”
“I feel pretty good, Deion’s done some weird things up there in Colorado, but I think Matt Rhule’s got us on the right track and I think Dylan’s going to come out and swing the ball around and I think we’ll sit pretty good,” said Nick Quiring.
“Feeling pretty good seeing what you saw yesterday, the boys looked hyped, the boys looked ready,” said Nate Montanez.
The fans at Balz Sports Bar in Grand Island also had some score predictions to share.
“I’m going to go 42-35 Nebraska,” said McGowan.
“We just put up a bunch of points, Colorado, I think they’ll have a decent time moving the ball. I’m going to say 35-21 Nebraska,” said Stevenson.
“I’m going 35-28. Nebraska comes out on top,” said Quiring.
“I think it’ll be a tight one but I think they’ll pull it out in the end,” said Montanez.
“‘Skers by 90,” said Kohen.
