GREEN BAY (WLUK) — A Hawaii resident was selected as this year’s winner of the Packers Everywhere “Give Us A Sign” contest, the team announced Thursday.
Thousands of entries were submitted, but Lee Couillard of Honolulu took first place with his caption: “Homegrown and Publicly Owned.”
That phrase will beprinted on signs and distributed to fans at the Nov. 3 game between Green Bay and Detroit. Fans can pick up their sign prior to the game outside Lambeau Field at the Great Lawn at Titletown, adjacent to Ridge Road. A limited number of signs will be available.
As the winner, Couillard will also receive a trip to Green Bay and two tickets to the Nov. 3 matchup.
The annual “Give Us A Sign” contest offers Packers fans a chance to submit a clever catchphrase, all of which are then voted on in a bracket-style contest to determine the winning caption. More than 60,000 votes were cast in this year’s contest.
