Alabama football keeps stacking M’s. Over 100 of them, to be exact.
After former Crimson Tide cornerback Patrick Surtain Jr. signed a four-year contract worth $96 million on Wednesday to become the highest-paid defensive back ever, Alabama alums have now signed over $1 billion in NFL contracts in just this offseason.

That includes contracts signed by Tua Tagovailoa, Jaylen Waddle, Christian Barmore, Calvin Ridley and Landon Dickerson, to name a few.
Of course, all of those players came from the era of former coach Nick Saban, who won six national championships at Alabama in his career before retiring in the offseason. New coach Kalen DeBoer will certainly hope to put as many players into the NFL as Saban did.
According to Spotrac, Alabama players are making a combined $524,490,388 million in 2024, which is nearly $200 million more than LSU, which is in second place. Oklahoma ranks third with over $304 million.
