Long-range experts forecast warm fall for the United States
The transition to autumn will be a slow one for most of the country this year, with warm temperatures likely to continue deep into fall.
Though the hot summer days are coming to an end, September brings the perfect month for fall activities. If you’re a fan of corn mazes, you’re in luck – the largest one in all of New England is right here in Vermont.
Located in the Vermont Boonies in North Danville, the Great Vermont Maze has been attracting guests to its unique maze challenges for over two decades.
This year, the Great Vermont Maze is back with a new maze design and plenty of new maze surprises. Here’s what to know before you get lost in the largest corn maze New England has to offer this fall.
About the Great Vermont Maze
The Great Vermont Maze has three unique mazes for guests of all ages to enjoy, all of which are included with a regular admission ticket.
The Big Maze covers 24 acres of land on a hill and is full of surprises like an underground tunnel and 100 feet of bridges. In total, this path takes about two hours to complete.
If you are not up for that challenge, the Scenic Maze offers a smaller adventure through the big cornfield, taking around 45 minutes to walk through. Special trails, dinosaurs and panoramic views can be found throughout the scenic maze.
Located within the giant cornfield, the HiddenSeek Maze is a 3,000 sq. ft. thrilling blacklight maze full of hidden treasure. The indoor HiddenSeek Maze is accessible through both the big and scenic mazes, though finding it may present an exciting challenge. It is skippable.
All mazes are lined with exit trails to allow for breaks without having to start over.
Besides the mazes, the Great Vermont Maze also has a robust play area for kids with attractions like a hay bale castle, a mini-golf course and a goat petting zoo.
What are the rules at the Great Vermont Maze?
To protect the delicate cornstalks, the Great Vermont Maze requires guests to walk, not run, on pathways at all times without touching or cutting through the corn. Adult supervision is required for ages 15 and under. Due to the dirt trails and stairs, the mazes are not wheelchair accessible.
Prohibited items in the mazes include pets, strollers, alcohol, smoking and vaping products, drugs, weapons and drones. Food is allowed, but not provided on site, so guests are encouraged to bring their own lunch.
Tickets to the Great Vermont Maze
Tickets can be purchased online or in person, though online purchases are recommended.
Advance online prices are $25 for ages 16-59, $15 for ages 5-15 and 60+ and free for ages four and under. In person, ticket prices are $30 for ages 16-59 and $18 for ages 5-15 and 60+.
