Meet the athletes representing New Hampshire on Team USA at the 2024 Paralympic Games

Athletes from Team USA take part in the opening ceremony of the Summer Paralympic Games in Paris, France, on Wednesday.

There are two New Hampshire athletes competing at the 2024 Paralympic Games on Team USA.

These athletes are just two out of 225 Team USA Paralympians in Paris. Team USA has athletes from 39 different states representing their country in the prestigious international event.

Both athletes from New Hampshire have been at the Paralympic Games before, but only one gained a medal.

Opening ceremonies for the 2024 summer Paralympics was held on August 28. The Games run from Aug. 28 to Sept. 8.

Here are the athletes representing New Hampshire on Team USA at the 2024 Paralympics.

Elizabeth Corso, Para Track and Field (Newmarket, NH)

Elizabeth Corso, who goes by Liza, competed in the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games, earning a silver medal.

According to the Team USA roster, the 21-year-old ran her first 5K race when she was just 5-years-old and continued running throughout her childhood, joining her school’s track and cross country teams in sixth grade. She ran varsity track and cross country for her high school and during her sophomore year she was introduced to para track and field.

Corso, from Newmarket, N.H., will compete in the para track and field sport at the 2024 Paralympic Games.

Noelle Lambert, Para Track and Field (Manchester, NH)

Born in Manchester, Noelle Lambert is a runner competing in the para track and field sport in the 2024 Paralympic Games. The 27-year-old played lacrosse at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, where she majored in criminal justice.

According to her bio on the Team USA website, Lambert founded the Born to Run Foundation which “provides specialized prosthetics to younger adults and children that will allow them to live a fun and fulfilling life.”

This is her second time at the Paralympics. She competed in the Tokyo Paralympics and achieved sixth place in the 100-meter T63, finishing with a time of 15.97 seconds, a new American record.
