South Mississippi casinos got some love from people across the country, who voted two Biloxi casinos on the Top 10 list of their favorites.
The USA Today announced the winners in three casino categories Wednesday.
Beau Rivage Resort & Casino landed on the Top 10 list for all three:
▪ Best Casino outside Las Vegas — Beau Rivage ranked No. 9. The description touted its sweeping views of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The 3.2 million-square-foot property boasts an 85,000-square-foot casino with over 75 table games, 1,800-plus slot machines, and a 16-table poker room, along with a high limit lounge and free parking.

Top rated was Yaamava’ Resort & Casino at San Manuel in California
▪ Best Casino Hotel in the U.S. — Beau Rivage finished No. 5 in the voting this year.
“When guests take a break from 24-hour gaming in the casino, they can retire to the tropical pool, a number of on-site restaurants, or rooms and suites that feature panoramic views, plus state-of-the-art technology,” the poll said.
Finishing in the top spot again is Mohegan Sun casino in Connecticut.
Brandon Dardeau, general manager and COO of Beau Rivage Resort & Casino in Biloxi, previews Coraline’s seafood restaurant. The executive chef of BR Prime, Austin Dedeaux, moved to this new restaurant and along with Beau Rivage executive chef Kristian Wade created an experience for customers that could land it on the Top 10 list next year.
▪ Ten best casino restaurants in the U.S. — Beau Rivage was one of two Biloxi casino to finish in the Top 10 of this list.
At No. 6, BR Prime at Beau Rivage Resort & Casino was saluted as a classic American steakhouse that “cooks up tantalizing dry-aged steaks in an open kitchen. Their attention-grabbing floor-to-ceiling glass wine display showcases a bottle collection that has netted BR Prime multiple Wine Spectator Awards of Excellence.”
Thirty-two restaurant atop IP Casino Resort in Biloxi, which specializes in fine steak and seafood dishes., was voted the 10th best casino restaurant in the country.
“The seasonal menu often features items like housemade crab cakes, fresh-caught fish, lobster tails, slow-roasted prime rib, milk-fed veal chop and a tantalizing selection of classic and signature steaks,” USA Today said.
Thirty-Two restaurant on the top level of IP Casino in Biloxi made it on the Top 10 casino restaurants for 2024.
The top restaurant on the list is The Pines Modern Steakhouse at Yaamava’ Resort & Casino at San Manuel in California.
Last year the Beau Rivage was number 3 best casino hotel and Harrah’s Gulf Coast number 7 in the contest. IP Casino finished number 7 in 2022.
Also last year, the Beau Rivage was selected as the best casino outside Las Vegas and among the Top 10 best casinos in the country by Hudson Reporter using Tripadvisor and Google ratings, reviews and Instagram hashtag count.
