ANNIVERSARY CONCERT FOR VIKING – 125 YEARS
Of Stavanger’s nearly 900-year history, Viking has been a part of it for 125 years. This will be celebrated with a grand anniversary concert! It will be a unique concert experience where supporters’ songs from Torfæusgate to Jåtttåvågen are combined to create a journey through Viking’s history. Tonight, the blood will run dark blue.
Just listen: the stage will feature artists Hilde Selvikvåg, Inger Lise Hope, Izabell, Kjartan Salvesen, Kriminell kunst, Magne Høyland, Stavanger Gospel Company, and Thomas Tvedt. Aslak Sira Myhre will guide us through the evening. He has been a football commentator for NRK, published several books on football, and is of course a passionate Viking fan. The evening will be rounded off with a grand performance by the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra.
The anniversary concert is Stavanger Symphony Orchestra’s birthday gift to Viking FK. As thanks for the moments, goosebumps, applause, and sing-alongs at the stadium. As thanks for the small and big football heroes, dreams, goals, and ambitions.
Now it’s our turn to invite you to our home ground: Fartein Valen in Stavanger Concert Hall. Bring your flags, scarves, and pennants, the atmosphere from the stands, and most importantly: all of us who cheer for Viking. Because Viking is us. Viking is our team.
