Sky News host Gabriella Power said Hollywood actor George Clooney has “shown his true colours” whilst trying to “re-write history”.
The actor and Democrat supporter compared Joe Biden to George Washington on Sunday, while commenting on the president’s decision to drop out of the race.
“The person who should be applauded is the president, who did the most selfless thing that anybody’s done since George Washington,” Mr Clooney said.
In July, George Clooney wrote a bombshell piece in the New York Times, calling for the 81-year-old to withdraw his re-election bid.
The 81-year-old president announced he was withdrawing from the race 11 days after Mr Clooney’s opinion piece was published.
