JSW Steel invests $110 million to modernize manufacturing at Texas steel plate mill 

JSW Steel USA, Inc. has announced plans to modernize its steel plate mill in Baytown, Texas. The company, which is a subsidiary of JSW Steel Ltd., will invest $110 million into the project, which will feature sustainable technologies and state-of-the-art equipment. According to the company, this investment will aid the U.S. government’s initiative to expand offshore wind energy by deploying 30 gigawatts of offshore wind by 2030, as well as supporting Buy America requirements for niche grades and sophisticated applications.
