The Tennessee Titans are parting ways with former first-round pick Caleb Farley after three disappointing seasons, Farley’s agent Drew Rosenhaus confirmed to The Tennessean.
Farley was the Titans’ first-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, but he was never able to stay on the field because of injury issues. Farley came into the NFL with concerns about his back, tore his ACL as a rookie and missed most of the 2022 season and all of the 2023 season after the back issues recurred. Farley returned to the team for training camp this season but missed three weeks with a hamstring injury that held him out of two of the Titans’ preseason games.
“We appreciate Ran and the Titans and all they have done to support Caleb,” Rosenhaus said in a statement to The Tennessean. “They have been great to him. He won’t give up and will continue to work hard to establish himself in this league.”
Farley only played in 12 games with the Titans across three years, making 14 tackles and one pass breakup. By the middle of his second season, he was exclusively relegated to playing special teams.
The Titans are in the process of trimming their roster down to 53 players Tuesday per NFL rules.
