Illinois State announces men’s nonconference basketball schedule

NORMAL – Illinois State has released its men’s basketball nonconference schedule for the upcoming season.

“I am really excited about our nonconference schedule,” ISU coach Ryan Pedon said. “This is a challenging schedule that will test our team in the early parts of the season. Having six home games was very important to us, and with hard work from our staff and administration, we were able to achieve that mark.

“We will have two difficult road tests against programs that are accustomed to winning and will be very good for us. We are also excited about our tournament in the Virgin Islands, which will provide the most challenging field we have played in our three years at Illinois State.”

Unlike the past two seasons, the Redbirds will not play a home game on their former court, Horton Field House.

Here’s a look at each of the games. The Missouri Valley Conference schedule has yet to be announced.
