Meet Lake Mary Little League World Series 2024 players from Florida
Lake Mary, Florida is representing the Southeast region in the 2024 Little League World Series. Meet JJ Feliciano, DJ Mieses and the rest of the team.
A spot in the U.S. championship game of the 2024 Little League World Series was on the line Thursday for Lake Mary Little League against Henderson, Nevada.
And the Florida Little League team took it, defeating Nevada 6-3 at Howard J. Lamade Stadium in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
Lake Mary didn’t take long to strike in the elimination game from the Little League World Series, as it plated four runs in the top of the first inning. All four runs came on singles from Landon Bono, Jacob Bibaud and DJ Mieses, the last of whom recorded two RBIs with his single down the right field line.

JJ Feliciano and Garrett Rohozen both added insurance runs thanks to the long ball, as both hit solo home runs in the third and sixth innings, respectively. Feliciano and Rohozen are the only two players at this year’s Little League World Series to have hit multiple home runs in the tournament, per ESPN’s broadcast.
Teraj Alexander was stellar on the mound in relief for Lake Mary on Thursday as he tossed 3 2/3 scoreless innings while striking out five hitters.
Lake Mary now has a rematch against Texas on Saturday in the U.S. Championship Game. That game will decide who plays the international bracket champion on Sunday in the LLWS title game — and who plays in the consolation game that morning.

Lake Mary has a date with Texas on Saturday in the U.S. championship game! Behind a big day at the plate and Teraj Alexander dominating on the mound in relief, Lake Mary defeats Nevada 6-3 in the Little League World Series.
Feliciano got the last out of the game, as he got Nevada’s Russell McGee to fly out to center.
Teraj Alexander’s night looks to be done due to pitching count as JJ Feliciano comes in looking for the final out of the game with runners on first and second. Tying run coming up to the plate for Nevada as Lake Mary leads 6-3.
Garrett Rohozen lifts a fastball over left field for a solo home run for his second home run of the Little League World Series. Rohozen’s home run extends Lake Mary’s lead to 6-3 in the sixth inning.
Looks like Russell McGee’s night is done as Oliver Johnson comes into pitch for Nevada in the sixth inning.
Alexander continues to shine in relief for Lake Mary as he tosses a 1-2-3 bottom of the fifth vs. Nevada. He started the inning with back-to-back strikeouts before getting a Nevada hitter to hit a dribbler to second for the third out. Onto the sixth inning in Williamsport as Lake Mary leads 5-3.
After giving up a lead-off single and taking one off his leg, Alexander bounced back like a pro. He held the runner at second while he threw his second scoreless inning of relief. Final two outs of the inning came on pop-ups to third base and shortstop respectively. Lake Mary takes a 5-3 lead into the fifth inning in Williamsport, six outs away from advancing to the U.S. championship game.

Lake Mary looked to have hit its second home run of the inning but Nevada right fielder Dominic Laino brings it back into play as he makes the robbing catch at the wall. Lake Mary takes a 5-3 lead into the bottom of the third. Really impressive play by Laino in right.
Lake Mary shortstop JJ Feliciano demolishes a fastball to deep left field and off the brick wall in the bullpen for a solo home run. It is the second home run of the Little League World Series for Feliciano as Lake Mary leads 5-3 in the top of the third.
Per ESPN’s broadcast, Feliciano is the only player at this year’s Little League World Series to have hit multiple home runs.
Both teams settled down in the second inning as both pitchers threw scoreless frames. Lake Mary heads into the third inning leading Nevada 4-3. Lathan Norton finished the bottom of the second with a strikeout.
Nevada gets three runs back in the home half of the first inning to cut the Lake Mary lead to 4-3 heading into the second at Howard J. Lamade Stadium.
The first run for Nevada came on an RBI check-swing single into left field from Oliver Johnson. Then Noah Letalu sneaked one under the glove of Garrett Rohozen at third for an RBI single into left. Then the third and final run of the inning came on a fly out from Parker Soranaka to center.
All today, seven runs scored on seven hits in the first inning by both Lake Mary and Nevada.

The hit parade continues for Lake Mary as Jacob Bibaud hits one through the infield into left field to score Landon Bono from third. Lake Mary now leads 4-0 in the top of the first. Quite a start for the Florida Little League team!
DJ Mieses lines one down the right field line to score JJ Feliciano and Garrett Rohozen. Mieses has six RBIs at the Little League World Series as Lake Mary now leads 3-0 in the top of the first vs. Nevada with no outs.
Lake Mary strikes first for the second consecutive night as Landon Bono singles into right field scoring Chase Anderson. Lake Mary started the game with three consecutive walks against Nevada starting pitcher Liam Sparks. Bases remain loaded with no outs as DJ Mieses comes up to the plate.
Nevada makes an early pitching change as Russell McGee replaces Liam Sparks on the mound after Sparks loads the bases on three straight walks. Landon Bono is up to bat for Lake Mary with the bases loaded and no outs. Big spot here for Lake Mary.
Lake Mary is once again the designated away team in Thursday’s Little League World Series game and will come up to bat first. Starting the night at the plate for Lake Mary will be second baseman Chase Anderson.

Lake Mary is making its first trip to the Little League World Series. They are the 24th Florida team to make the trip to Williamsport, and while eight teams from the Sunshine State have been runners-up, no Florida team has won the championship.
Lake Mary is a suburban city in Central Florida’s Seminole County, about 20 miles north of Orlando.
