Two capital region athletes are competing against the world and each other at the Women’s World Lacrosse Championship in Hong Kong, China. USA and Germany faced off Friday in the under-20 division tournament.
Brigid Duffy, who starred at Queensbury High School and now plays for Army West point, scored a goal for USA as they trounced Germany 33-0.
The German team also features 15-year-old Macy Zeilman who attends Shenendehowa and is our NewsChannel 13 Athlete of the Week. Pool play continues Saturday. USA will play at Puerto Rico and Germany will battle China
