New data from travel website Priceline suggests that one specific town is a cut above the rest, ranking in the top eight spots nationwide.

According to Priceline, the best place to leaf peep in Vermont is Stowe, with the area ranking at No. 6 in the top eight best places to leaf peep.
The town of Stowe is near Smugglers’ Notch State Park, a famous narrow mountain pass with a dense forest and several trails, perfect for hiking. Stowe is also where the famous Stowe Mountain Resort is, where you can eat award-winning regional American fare at the Cliff House Restaurant if hiking isn’t your thing.
For the more adventurous, there’s the Arbortrek Zip Line Canopy Tour’s zip line feature that will take leaf peepers directly into the canopy. The canopy tour features eight zip lines and two sky bridges.
