Trump claims more US oil production will lower prices on everything
Donald Trump said he is “angry” at Kamala Harris over Biden administration policies ranging from inflation to immigration and the Green New Deal.
Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump held a press conference and took reporter questions Thursday at his Bedminster golf club where he criticized the Biden and Harris administration and touted his campaign priorities.
The press conference lasted about 90 minutes, as the former president read from his script for nearly an hour before taking questions from reporters.
Trump on inflation
Trump blamed President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris for rising inflation. He claimed mortgage rates and credit card debt are at an all-time highs. He also blamed Harris for high grocery prices with grocery items on display on the table next to him.
A reporter asked what would be his message to families who want to make America affordable again. He answered: “My message would be very simple. Vote for Trump. We are going to get it fixed.”
Trump on Tim Walz
The attacks continued, but this time at Vice Presidential nominee Tim Walz. Trump repeatedly said Walz “wants tampons in boys bathrooms,” referring to a bill he passed as Minnesota governor that gave public schools access to menstrual products, but does not require them in boys bathrooms.
Trump on inflation
The Republican presidential nominee said the first thing he will do as president is close the border.
He continued to bring attention to what he called a crisis at the border. Trump called Harris “the worst border czar in history” and said, without offering proof, that most of the job creation under Biden has gone to migrants.
Trump on Israel-Gaza war
A reporter asked Trump if he encouraged Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu to hold a cease fire on barrage of attacks to Gaza.
He replied that Netanyahu “knows what he is doing,” but also urged for the prime minister to “get this over with, get your victory and get it over with, get the killing over with.”
Trump also said that the Oct. 7 Hamas attacks to Israel would have never happened if he was still president.
