Joe Biden put country before ego. He deserves nation’s thanks.

Biden deserves respect and thanks

President Joe Biden helped shield us from the dangers of a second former President Donald Trump presidency in 2020 and is doing so again by making way for dynamic, accomplished leadership for America.

After four years of post-pandemic recovery, landmark legislation — infrastructure, climate change, and commonsense gun control — and real gains for people’s lives, including fostering an economy that the Wall Street Journal called “the envy of the world,” Biden deserves respect for doing what is best for America.

Biden is finally out. The work must now get done to beat Donald Trump.

He put country before ego and heeded voters’ call for a new generation to lead, in stark contrast to Trump, who attempted to overthrow our last election, incited a violent attack on our Capitol, and publicized plans to seize power and rule over, not represent, us. Biden’s decision is a career-crowning act of statesmanship: cementing him as a steadfast hand through tumultuous times and a bridge to a brighter future.

Vice President Kamala Harris is uniquely prepared to deliver Democrats’ best argument for beating Trump and the MAGA movement, unabashedly attacking their assault on our freedoms in order to control our lives and imperil our livelihoods.

She is a leader for our time, who will govern in our name.

Vote for Harris might just help Ohioans be heard

I definitely will be voting for Vice President Kamala Harris come November.

I am hoping that the trend against the “redness” of this state continues to wane. I am tired of the insidious behavior the Republican perpetrate, especially with their trying to limit voting ability by redistricting and their trying to undo the will of the voters in such things as legalizing marijuana and in particular abortion.

Their attempts at subverting the vote (i.e. changing the primary election in ’23 to August in the hopes of not getting enough votes to put abortion on the November ballot) as well as attempting to thwart or limit the will of the voters (trying to limit abortion before the ink had dried on the election results) is criminal in my opinion.
