Nebraska’s quarterback Dylan Raiola was recently named one of college football’s instant impact freshmen of the 2024 season. Paul Myerberg of USA TODAY recently named the Husker quarterback to his list of ’10 college football freshmen ready to make an instant impact this season’ list.
Myerberg writes of Raiola,
Matt Rhule has yet to officially name Raiola as the Cornhuskers’ starter, though it’s just a matter of time. Arriving on campus in the spring has helped the Nebraska legacy learn the system and establish himself as one of the most intriguing young players in college football.
Nebraska’s offense needs to improve from its 2023 performance. Last year, it ranked 115th in the nation in total offense, averaging a paltry 312.8 yards per game. They also struggled in scoring offense, ranking 120th overall and averaging only 18.0 points per game.
During Nebraska’s spring game, Raiola completed 16-of-22 passes for 239 yards and two touchdowns. You can find the entire list from Paul Meyerberg below.

A five-star recruit from IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL. Helped his offense average over 33 points per game and 155 rushing yards per contest.
EDGE Dylan Stewart, South Carolina Gamecocks
A five-star edge rusher from the Friendship Collegiate Academy in Washington, DC. Finished the 2023 season with 76 tackles, 24.0 for loss and 12 sacks.

Five-star wide receiver from Lake Belton High School in Temple, Texas. Finished his senior season with 70 receptions for 1,370 yards and 18 touchdowns.
