Inside Florida Politics: Florida Republicans rally around Trump: NPPP
USA TODAY Florida – Network journalists Zac Anderson, Antonio Fins and John Kennedy discuss Trump’s strength in Florida.
The Republican Party of Florida said Friday it has raised more than $13.47 million since July 1.
That’s on top of last weekend’s announcement that the number of GOP registered voters, more than 5 million across Florida, is a million more than the total number of people registered with the state’s Democratic Party. The GOP’s gains have wiped out what was a 300,000 registered voter advantage for Democrats in Florida in 2018.
“These great achievements are the result of hard work and the popular support for our Republican leaders at every level. You cannot fake this: the dollars are real as is our grassroots support,” said party Chairman Evan Power. “They understand the importance of electing President Donald J. Trump and all our Republican candidates this August and November because the American Dream is on the line.”
He added: “There is too much on the line in this election and we are not going to sit on our laurels. The RPOF is going to continue to move the needle and deliver for Florida voters who want a secure border, an end to crazy inflationary policies, and peace and stability both here and abroad.”
