Sights and sounds from Kamala Harris’ campaign rally in Wisconsin

Kamala Harris had the crowd at West Allis Central High School fired up for her first rally as a presidential candidate.

Vice President Kamala Harris is planning to hold a rally at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee on Tuesday, the second day of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, according to sources with knowledge of the plans.

The stop would be Harris’ third visit to Wisconsin since she became the Democratic nominee for president late last month. She held the first rally of her presidential campaign just outside Milwaukee and last week stopped in Eau Claire with her newly selected running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.

It was not immediately clear whether Walz planned to join Harris in Milwaukee on Tuesday. Two sources familiar with the planning cautioned that details for the visit were still in flux, including the time of the event. The New York Times first reported on the Tuesday plans.

Harris and Walz drew big crowds during their tour of battleground states last week. More than 12,000 people showed up to the Eau Claire rally Wednesday.

A spokesperson for the Harris campaign declined to comment on the vice president’s travel plans.

Last month, Republicans gathered in Fiserv Forum for a week as they formally nominated former President Donald Trump at the Republican National Convention. Trump’s running mate, Ohio Sen. JD Vance, plans to deliver remarks at the Milwaukee Police Association this Friday.
