The Georgia Bulldogs are getting ready to kickoff the 2024 college football season on August 31, as they try to reach the College Football Playoff. The team missed the playoffs last year because they lost to Alabama in the Southeastern Conference (SEC) Championship Game. The Bulldogs have a lot of returning talent, so they should be a championship contender this year.

Georgia has won two national championships in recent history, as they won back-to-back titles in 2021 and 2022. With this in mind, they will try to win another trophy with their stacked roster this season.
The Bulldogs still have head coach Kirby Smart leading the team, as he enters his ninth season in the position. Smart has fielded incredible defenses over the years, which dates back to his defensive coordinator days at Alabama. He will likely have another great defense this season because he has veteran leadership throughout the starting lineup.
Georgia’s offense will also be lethal this year, as their starting quarterback from last season returned to the team. Carson Beck will play his senior season with the Bulldogs, and he led the team to a 13-1 record in 2023. He will be joined by a new running back in the backfield, as Georgia obtained Trevor Etienne this offseason via the transfer portal.
Etienne played with Florida the past two seasons and ran for more than 700 yards both years, so he will be a great addition to Georgia’s offense.
