Weymouth, Massachusetts Ghost Draws for Paranormal Investigators

WEYMOUTH (WBSM) — A recent paranormal investigation in Weymouth brought about plenty of supposed ghostly activity, but one encounter had an artistic flair.

The Weymouth Teen Center is in the building that was once the town’s police station. A group of teens recently began studying the paranormal as part of the afterschool programming, and they are said to have documented 17 different spirits residing in the building.

Myself and psychic medium Stephanie Burke (star of Secrets of the Asylum on FOX Nation) recently held a ghost hunt event there to help raise money for the programming there, and I ended up having some pretty profound experiences.

To begin the night, we went into the biggest room in the center, the upstairs lounge area. There, we conducted an Estes Method session utilizing the EchoVox app, which contains phonetic human speech (but no words) in which a spirit can allegedly create words out of those sounds.

This Estes Method works like this: one person is blindfolded and puts on noise-canceling headphones, connected to a ghost box or other such device. They cannot see or hear the questions that are being asked by others in the room.

As the other people in the room ask the questions, the person with the headphones just repeats what comes through the device, without interpretation or question. This way, those asking the questions know the person wearing the headphones is not influenced by the questions themselves when listening for any potential answers.

During our Estes session, we were supposedly in contact with the spirit of Michael, who was one of the first to visit the Teen Center when it opened in 1998. There is still a mural he drew on one of the back walls of the room we were in.

We asked who we were speaking with and Katelyn, the person who was wearing the headphones and listening to the EchoVox, immediately said, “Artist.”

This led to Kathy, the director of the Teen Center, to ask, “Is this you, Michael?”

He confirmed, and then said “take a picture” and “back wall.” I wasn’t sure which wall was the “back” wall to him, so I just took photos of all the walls and windows in the room.

In one of the windows, the one directly behind Katelyn, I saw a smiley face. I said out loud that it was probably something one of the kids had drawn since the last time the windows had been washed.

Instead, the spirit of Michael, through Katelyn, took credit for the artwork.

“If you made it, then tell me what it is?” I asked.

“A face,” was the response.

Everyone looked around in shock. There’s no way Katelyn could hear us; she was only repeating what she heard through the noise-canceling headphones coming out of the EchoVox.

We asked if Michael could draw something else. He came back with “heart.”

“Oh, there’s a heart there on the middle window that one of the kids made,” Kathy said, pointing to a paper cutout of a heart which was placed in the middle of the center window of the room.

“Upper left,” the spirit told Katelyn.

I moved to the upper left window of the room based on where we were all sitting. I looked at the window and didn’t see anything. I snapped a photo and when I looked at the photo, I could see it: the faintest little heart.

It was the first time I’d ever had a ghost draw for me during an investigation.

Paranormal Activity Reported in Massachusetts’ Bridgewater Triangle

In his 1983 book Mysterious America, cryptozoologist Loren Coleman introduced a term he originally coined in the late 1970s – the Bridgewater Triangle – to describe an area with an abnormal level of paranormal activity and high strangeness in Southeastern Massachusetts. Over the years, the concept of the Triangle has expanded to include ghostly reports, UFO sightings, cryptid encounters, alien abductions and more across a wider swath of Southern New England.
