High school fall athletes will return to schools across the state to start preparing for the upcoming fall sports season. Practices for football begin on Monday, Aug. 12 while soccer, field hockey, volleyball, golf and cross-country will return on Aug. 15.
The fall sports season will kick off the weekend of Aug. 30. Here are the announced championship dates and sites the Vermont Principals’ Association has determined so far for the fall season.

Cross Country
▶ Date: Saturday, Oct. 26 at 10:30 a.m.
▶ Site: Thetford Academy
