Fortune Well, a subsidiary of Fortune Magazine, released their third annual list of 50 Best Places to live for families across the country.
In that report the health content platform ranks Morristown, New Jersey, 9th on the list.
The sophisticated list evaluated over 2,000 cities, towns, suburbs, exurbs, villages, and townships, with a population of 20,000 residents or more across five main themes such as education, resources for aging adults and financial health.
“In our analysis of over 2,000 cities across the country, the ones that topped our ranking scored high on assets like health care, education, affordability, and resources for seniors,” the report stated.

Morristown has been growing steadily over the past dozen-plus years and residents can be in New York City within an hour on the train. The city it’s far enough away to act as a refuge from the hustle and bustle of the concrete jungle, yet close enough for a weekend trip or commute to work on a hybrid schedule.
Is Morristown affordable?
Morristown is part of Morris County, which has healthy job opportunities and a strong economy. It hosts over 800 corporate headquarters in industries such as aerospace, financial services, insurance, pharmaceuticals and agriculture, the report stated.
And it is one of the wealthiest towns in Garden State with median household income of over $180,000 and a median sale price for single family residence of over $700,000 as of 2022.
The Morristown’s community well-being received 75 out of 100 and its financial well-being received 66 out of 100 from Sharecare data.
How are the school systems in Morristown?
Morristown High School in the Morris School District. The institution has a 90% district graduate rate and ranks 112th within in the state. The high ranking earned it eligibility to display a U.S. News Best High School Award Badge according to US. World News and Report.
What resources does Morristown have for seniors?
For the senior resources and healthcare the city is home to northwest New Jersey’s only regional trauma center and has 22 above-average nursing homes within 50 miles, per 100,000 households.
