Representing the United States on the final day of 2024 Olympics competition will be:
Zain Retherford reached the 65-kilogram Repechage, but opted to withdraw from the tournament citing medical precaution. Retherford is a graduate of Benton High School in Pennsylvania and three-time NCAA champ at Penn State competing in his first Olympics. He was a silver medalist at 70 kilograms at the 2023 World Championships.
Kyle Snyder will compete for a 97-kilogram bronze medal when that action begins tentatively at 6:35 a.m. ET. A three-time NCAA champ at Ohio State, Snyder is now at Penn State’s Nittany Lion Wrestling Club trying to win his third straight Olympics medal. He was a silver medalist at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo and won gold in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.

Kennedy Blades is a 20-year-old phenom set to compete for a gold medal against Japan’s Yuka Kagami in women’s freestyle at 76 kilograms. After finishing as a runner-up in the 2020 Olympic Team Trials at age 17, Blades defeated Olympic silver medalist Adeline Gray in 2024 to claim the spot at 76 kilograms.
Blades, who attended high school in Pennsylvania at Wyoming Seminary, made the finals by defeating Kyrgyzstan’s Aiperi Medet Kyzy, 8-6, in the semifinals.
