After two wonderful weeks in the French capital, the Paris 2024 Olympic Games are almost over.

Team GB finished the event with 65 medals, one more than their total in Tokyo.

It is now time for the closing ceremony, and what a show it will be with Billie Eilish, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Snoop Dogg and H.E.R. all confirmed for the LA28 Handover celebration.

However, the athletes will be the stars of the show during the flags of the nations and the athletes’ parade after pushing themselves to the limit to win gold for their country.

They will get another opportunity to shine at the Stade de France, and with that in mind, here are some of the big names confirmed as their nation’s flag bearers.

Who will be the Team GB flag bearers during the closing ceremony?

Triathlon star Alex Yee and trampoline sensation Bryony Page will wave the Union Jack for Team GB.

Yee won gold in the triathlon before taking bronze in the mixed relay to complete his set of Olympic medals.

Page also completed the set in the French capital, storming to victory in the women’s trampoline to add to her silver from Rio 2016 and her bronze from Tokyo 2020.

France have been superb hosts, but it is time to say au revoir to the French capital.

Rugby hero Antoine Dupont and mountain bike rider Pauline Ferrand-Prevot will wave le drapeau tricolore at the Stade de France.

Dupont inspired the rugby sevens squad to gold, while Ferrand-Prevot came out on top in the cross-country.

The closing ceremony will kick off the countdown to LA 2028, and so there will be plenty of eyes on the USA’s two flag bearers.

Sailor Matt Wearn and swimmer Kaylee McKeown will fly the flag for their country with just eight years to go until Brisbane 2032.

Wearn retained his gold in the laser, while McKeown won a fantastic five medals during a productive two weeks in Paris.

Who will be China’s flag bearers during the closing ceremony?

China have an abundance of stars to choose from after finishing the Games level with the USA on 40 gold medals.

Weightlifter Li Fabin and hockey player Ou Zixia have been given the honour.

Li retained his Olympic crown in the men’s men’s 61 kg while Ou inspired her side to silver.

Kasra Mehdipournejad and Farida Abaroge will wave the flag for the Refugee Olympic Team.

Algeria’s boxing hero Imane Khelif will be one of her country’s flag bearers, and she will be joined by 800m bronze medallist Djamel Sedjati.
