Biden uses truly archaic term during White House ceremony to honor MLB champs

President Joe Biden may no longer be on the campaign trail, but that’s not stopping him from acting strange during White House ceremonies.

The White House hosted the Texas Rangers on Thursday to celebrate the team’s World Series win, where Biden treated them to dad jokes, bungled compliments and an awkward atmosphere.

At one point Biden pointed out pitcher Nathan Eovaldi’s sharp blue suit, briefly bringing back the word “haberdasher” but appearing to use it incorrectly.

“Your standout pitcher Nathan, where are you Nathan? And by the way, I want to know who the hell made his haberdasher. I like his dress man, I tell you. Looking good, Nathan,” the president said.

A haberdasher is a person who makes and/or sells men’s clothing.

At another point, the president mentioned that he was actually a fan of the Rangers’ rivals, the Philadelphia Phillies, because of his wife First Lady Jill Biden.

“I want the record to show I’ve got a little bit of an ability to say nice things because I married a Philly girl. Anyway, Philly fans are tough. And if I didn’t root for the Phillies I’d be sleeping alone,” he joked.

♥️ Gotta Love President Joe Biden!

While honoring the Dodgers World Series Title @JoeBiden couldn’t help but bring up the @Phillies

The team presented Biden with a custom “46” jersey as well as some cowboy boots, which he joked would give him “another two inches” after which he awkwardly asked “Alright, what am I doing now?” before leaving the event.
