Series: The Guardians lead the Twins, 5-0, this season. Cleveland leads, 1,195-1,046, overall.
Guardians update (67-47): They’ve lost five straight, their longest losing streak of the season. The starting rotation is in flux. They haven’t named a starter for Friday’s first game or for Sunday. Tanner Bibee (right shoulder) could start Sunday. David Fry (4 for 8), with two homers and five RBI, is hitting well against the Twins this season. Emmanuel Clase has three saves against Minnesota this year.

Twins update (63-50): They’ve lost two straight, but have won five of their last seven games. They trail the first-place Guards by 3 1/2 games. It’s the closest they’ve been to first place in the AL Central since they were 2 1/2 out on May 16. Jose Miranda is hitting .333 (3 for 9) with one homer against the G’s this season. Ober is 0-1 and Woods Richardson has a no decision against Cleveland.

INF Kyle Farmer (right shoulder), SS Carlos Correa (right foot), RHP Brock Stewart (right shoulder) LHP Kody Funderburk (left oblique), RHP Chris Paddack (right forearm), RHP Justin Topa (left knee), 1B Alex Kirilloff (back), RHP Daniel Durante (right elbow) and RHP Anthony DeSclafani (right forearm) are on the injured list.
