Tennessee named Justin Duncan as its new cross country head coach and lead of the distance programs.
Duncan’s hiring was announced by vice chancellor and director of athletics Danny White and head coach and director of track and field Duane Ross.
Duncan will coach both the Vols and Lady Vols and comes to Tennessee from Oklahoma State.
He was an assistant coach at Oklahoma State from 20124. At Oklahoma State, he helped both the men’s and women’s cross country and track and field programs maintain their status as one of nation’s premier distance programs.
Duncan help guide the Cowboys to four Big 12 championships in five years. Oklahoma State won the NCAA Division I cross country championship in the fall of 2023 at Panorama Farms in Charlottesville, Virginia.
He also helped Oklahoma State’s three Big 12 championships during his tenure at the school.
