Debates set for North Dakota governor, US Senate and House races – InForum

FARGO — North Dakota residents can learn more about candidates in the November election through a series of debates scheduled on Prairie Public.

The debates will air live on

Prairie Public’s television and radio networks and will also be streamed live online,

the nonprofit broadcast outlet said in a news release.

The first debate features North Dakota U.S. House candidates, Republican

Julie Fedorchak

and Democrat

Trygve Hammer.

It will be held live from 7 to 8 p.m. CST on Thursday, Sept. 26.

The candidates for one of North Dakota’s U.S. Senate seats, Democrat

Katrina Christiansen

and incumbent Republican

Sen. Kevin Cramer,

will debate live from 7 to 8 p.m. CST on Wednesday, Oct. 2.

North Dakota gubernatorial candidates, Republican U.S.

Rep. Kelly Armstrong

and Democratic state

Sen. Merrill Piepkorn,

will debate live from 7 to 8 p.m. CST on Thursday, Oct. 10.

A fourth debate with the

Minnesota 7th District House candidates

will be announced at a later date, Prairie Public said.

The debates will be moderated by either Prairie Public news director Dave Thompson or Prairie Public producer Matt Olien.

The debates on Prairie Public are sponsored by

AARP North Dakota.
