USA accidentally transferred $230 million to Taliban

ALBAWABA – Recent reports from a US Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction revealed that the USA “Mistakenly” sent at least $239 million to the Taliban after Joe Biden ordered the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan in 2021, according to The Maine Wire.

The order from Biden resulted in the killing of 13 US soldiers and 170 Afghanis, the seizure of equipment, and the possibility of handing money to the Taliban.

The Maine Qire quoted the SIGAR report which said:

“In total, the State could not demonstrate compliance with its partner vetting requirements on awards that disbursed at least $293 million in Afghanistan. State officials acknowledged that not all bureaus complied with document retention requirements,” according to The Maine Wire.

Taliban

Several users speculated that the US didn’t “mistakenly” send money to the Taliban but did it on purpose due to recent tensions with Iran due to the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza, which resulted in the killing of thousands of Palestinians and the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh.

“mistakenly”

“Oops. The US is too cute to think that everyone will think this is a mistake.”

A user jokingly said, “How I wish if someone mistakenly transfers $1 million to my account.”

“Mistakenly? I guess, It’s a payment for some type of action to keep Iran busy in this area.”
