Marsh McLennan Agency, a subsidiary of Marsh, has completed the acquisition of The Horton Group, Inc., a full-service insurance brokerage based in Illinois, US.
Horton, which was founded in 1971, offers property and casualty insurance, employee benefits consultation, and personal lines coverage to businesses and individuals across Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Florida.
CEO Dan Horton, as well as the rest of Horton employees, will join Marsh McLennan Agency and continue working from their existing nine locations.
Marsh McLennan Agency announced its agreement to acquire The Horton Group, Inc. back in July.
With the closing of the acquisition, Marsh McLennan Agency – a provider of business insurance, employee health & benefits, retirement & wealth, and private client insurance solutions across North America -, has gained a strong presence in Indiana and strengthened its established footprint throughout Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Florida.
